05-29-06 Turnout Templates and Curves

 I scanned in the turnouts as previously discussed.  I imported them in to the track design software to compare them to the templates I was using.

My original assessment was incorrect.  The turnouts matched the templates I was using in the software.  I did not have to make any alterations.  The turnouts did not match the paper templates I copied out of a book.

I am slowly transferring the track lines to the modules.  I have finished the largest module.  I am now working on a corner module.  I attached it to the finished module to make sure the track joints will line up.

I did come up with a shortcut on drawing curves.  I drew the curves I would need in AutoCAD.  I printed them full scale on a large format printer I have access to.  Then I cut the curve templates out.
