These are articals that relate to laying track.
I worked on the scenery on the corner module that sits between the original NTrak module and the end loop module containing the mountain ridge and engine house.
I ballasted the track on the end loop module that I have been working on.
After years of planning and many months of construction, the layout is up and running.
After spending an hour here and an hour there, I have laid track on two out of four modules.
The roadbed for the track has been laid. This part went quicker than I thought.
The track centerlines have been transferred to the last two modules.
I scanned in the turnouts as previously discussed. I imported them in to the track design software to compare them to the templates I was using.
After waiting over two months, I received my track order. The last couple times I have ordered from this company my order was promptly shipped. I guess I should have bought the track locally. Now I can get back to work.
It does look like the turnouts do not match the templates I was using in my track design software. My plan is to scan the turnouts with my scanner. I can import the scans in to Autocad and trace them. Then, I can export the traces in a file format that my track design software can import. One I create the new templates I will update my track plan. I do not plan on any major changes unless I have to.
I set up a work area to start drawing the track centerlines on to the new modules.
